Located just before Punta Rucia, Playa Ensenada is a favorite place for families on weekends thanks to its perfect white sand, shallow blue waters and its sellers of fritters or huts cooking fresh fish and other outdoor specialties. Grab a chair under the shade, or a lounger, and enjoy this beach with the authentic atmosphere of Dominican beach. Here you can also find boats to visit Cayo Arena.

But as if it were not enough we have ´´Cayo Arena´´, also known as Cayo Paraíso, is 25 minutes by boat from the point of departure at Punta Rucia, located northwest of Puerto Plata. This sandbar is located in the middle of the bright blue ocean, with fine white sand and shallow waters full of tropical fish, ideal for snorkelers of any level, or you can also choose to dive. Most tour operators offer the round trip from Puerto Plata, including the boats that will take them to the key with snorkeling equipment included.
